Peconic River Herb Garden June 23, 2015

Love, love, love this place!... Did I say I love this place?
I want to live here...I am going to talk to the owners about that!
Thanks to them for their amazing talent, arranging tons of plants, bushes, and trees, and of course herbs into perfect vignettes for us to paint all day long! ...Talk about major artistic talent!
So happy they welcome PALS! Thank you!

Plein Air Magazine Publishers Invitational Adirondacks 2015

PAL Chris Taylor and I had the good fortune to enjoy our week of Plein Air painting along side over one hundred amazing artists from across the USA...with Plein Air Magazine Publishers Invitational...otherwise fondly referred to by the artists as "PaintCamp!"
We all had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in our paintings and gorgeous, lush locations...I mean, I live on Long Island which is flat as pancake on the south shore...so to walk up hills and see mountains and paint waterfalls with the water splashing at my feet as I perch my easel on a rock is more that spectacular!
Thank you publisher and amazing artist Eric Rhoads for all you do for Plein Air! I promise to always carry on and share my love of Plein Air with others..I hope you will all join me in that promise!

What a fun place to paint! A working farm complete with cows, rabbits, goats, chickens, barns, tractors, and truckloads of curious kids!

Bayard Cutting Arboretum May 26, 2015

I think it's safe to say this is one of PALS favorite painting spots...acres and acres of gorgeous trees and plants.  We've painted here many times.  Much to my surprise...when Joan T told me about the Hydrangea Gardens I couldn't believe I never saw them before... can't wait to go back and paint here again!

Vanderzalm Greenhouses May 19, 2015

Wonderful Greenhouses, family owned and carefully run by John and Chris Vanderzalm.
This place is a gem, tucked away, off the beaten path, in Bellport, NY.
Lush plants everywhere you look, each greenhouse chock full of colorful blooming flowers and hearty vegetables and herb plants, and trees and shrubs.  We love painting here, and we always feel welcome.
We even had a nice visit from matriarch Janet Vanderzalm.

After a seemingly endless cold winter...we come out of hiding ...to once again do what we love most PAINT OUTDOORS!! PALS started our 2015 Season at this wonderful Tulip Farm...such a great concept!
We painted and hand picked our very own tulips, a great way to begin Spring and our PALS Plein Air season!
