PALS 2013 Inspiration Award 11/22/13

There were so many amazing student art entries accepted into the SBAA Student show. all participating young artists were so impressive and it was a fantastic show!

PALS is pleased to announce the winner of the PALS 2013 Inspiration Award presented at the
South Bay Art Association 26th Nita Elder Student Scholarship Art Exhibit to
Longwood High School student,

Tatiana Gonzalez-Argoti for her painting "Pasticceria a Venezia"
Tatiana's acrylic painting depicted interesting perspective, wonderful strong color choices, a feeling of spontaneity and she definitely captured the magic of her subject, Venice.
We are very proud of you Tatiana!

Bayport Flower House 11/19/13

PALS had an enjoyable time at this magnificent, special, amazing green house!
It is huge inside, room after fantastic room filled with Poinsettias, trees, Christmas wonderment, all artfully displayed. A special thank you to Amy and everyone at Bayport Flower House for welcoming us!

Snowed Out!

Today was wet slushy surprising snow!

PALS enjoyed a crispy cool fall day at this beautiful location.
Plenty of HUGE trees, gorgeous reflections in the lake, old barns, and school house...just wonderful!

Andrews Family Farm 10/1/13 & 10/8/13

Love this amazing family run farm, Andrews Family Farm ! PALS had a great day here starting with a wonderful behind the scenes tour by welcoming owner, Denise.
We didn't know what to paint first. So many choices, mums, pumpkins, sunflowers, bales of hay, chickens, colorful fruit and veggies! The weather was also perfect, our morning started off as autumn, and ended up as a summer day.
I can see why there was a steady stream of happy customers, all seeming to know the owner on a first name basis. This farm is friendly and beautiful and very special indeed.
I can't wait to see the beautiful paintings from there in our December PALS art show Dec 14 & 15 12-4pm at the BAFFA Gallery 47 Gillette Ave, Sayville, NY. Everyone is invited!

I drove home eating the best apple I ever tasted, and with a car full of perfect sunflowers!
