We love Plein Air painting. There is something so special about being out in the fresh air, alone or with other artists, seeking out a new location or vista to set up your gear. Ignore the wind, or snow, or burning sunshine while adding one more color, one more paint stroke as you dive deep into your painting. Enjoy the autumn leaves and a bubbling brook, the salty beach air... All of this is the essence of Plein Air Painting... on location...feeling one with nature. Join us!
Brookhaven Gazebo 11/6/12
A few PALS met up at the Gazebo to paint after the storm. We have painted here many times with tons of orange tiger lilies, a bubbling brook and huge willow trees. Today was very different, after 3 huge trees were toppled by Hurricane Sandy, and the brook seemed to sadly stop bubbling somehow. We painted what we saw, and congrats go out to Joan T. for selling her painting of a huge tree stump...she truly captured after the storm.
